Overarching artist Statement
What inspired me to do my artwork this semester was to think about my life and think about the things I am interested in. I think about significant changes or drastic changes. Things that make me feel emotional either, mad, sad, happy and tired. When making these projects what I liked using the most was watercolor it was very intriguing to me the way the colors were able to merge together made fascinating artwork. So during this semester I am very thrilled with my work that I was able to create.
My Final Reflections
My most successful project this semester would be my Astrophysics project. This project deals with constraints and what I was limited to do. I known that I had to put a lot of color in this project and it had to deal with shapes as well. Which I was able to do. This project seems to be my favorite because i felt as if I was able to use ustiles that I know I am capable of using.
One project that I can say that I overcame obstacle would be the Identity project. I Incorporated a lot of me in that project. It was more if should I really tell people the real me or not at all. That was a hard decision to make. Me making that project describe what I am and what I could better myself to be in the near future.
During this semester we were able to use out own materials and I think that was better special for our independent projects because then you were able to incorporate what you had in mind to come up with your own ideas. If you were capable of thinking outside of the box you were able to come up with some intriguing artworks. For one of my projects I decided to bring in a shirt and dye it certain colors to justify colors that resemble the sky or cosmos in outer space.
